Programs and Services
Services at The Epilepsy Foundation of Metropolitan New York include those most requested by persons with epilepsy to participate as fully as possible in their communities.
These include counseling, vocational services and job placement, prevocational and respite services, service coordination, information and referral services, socialization programs and educational presentations.
All information and training and presentations are free of charge. Other programs are also free of charge or require low cost fees. . Fees are based on a sliding scale; Medicaid, Medicare, and some third party insurance insurance is accepted.
The Foundation also sponsors support groups, community educational presentations and other events throughout the year. We are always seeking persons with a commitment to epilepsy as volunteers.
Whether you or someone you know is living with epilepsy, The Foundation is available to ease your worries and concerns by offering you customized expert care and attention. Having a seizure disorder doesn’t mean that you have to live a less fulfilled life. You don’t have to feel confused, overwhelmed or restricted.
